RÉFLEXIONS - OLIVIER GIACHINO
Olivier Giachino presents in his first book "Reflections" - one click, one image, no retouching, no double exposure.
The book gathers more than twenty years of photographic work using only argentic. He elaborates surrealist images made of refractions and dispersion, thanks to the play of reflection and light, he proposes an alternative to the dressing of the streets of Paris.
Author’s biography: "Olivier Giachino is a Parisian photographer who works exclusively with film and who, in this book, reveals the city through its reflections. "Reflections" is a first book that includes three series that have been exhibited several times in Paris and Geneva. In a traditional approach to color argentic photography, he proposes shots sometimes approaching painting, photomontage or double-exposure while he strives to remind us that it is "Just a shot! Naturally complex, beautiful and surprising if possible".
Gathering all the work of the author around the reflection, this book of 244 pages printed in France by Escourbiac proposes images skilfully composed, coloured and most often abstract.
