To mark the tenth anniversary of its photography residency on the theme of the Mediterranean world, the Fondation des Treilles has created a book entitled L'Aigle et le Cygne, in which the photographic works of 28 of its first prizewinners and the novelist Dimitri Bortnikov, winner of the writing residency prize in 2021, engage in a dialogue.

La Fondation des Treilles
La Fondation des Treilles, created by Anne Gruner Schlumberger, is dedicated to fostering dialogue between science and the arts in order to advance creation and research. It welcomes researchers and artists to its estate in Les Treilles (Var). Created in 2011, its photography residency has supported the creation of photographic works on the theme of the Mediterranean. From 2011 to 2023, 34 photographers have stayed there. Created in 2009, the writing residency welcomes authors writing and publishing in French. Between 2009 and 2023, 38 authors have stayed here.
